WALKERS, cyclists and visitors to the Staffordshire Peak District will soon be able to enjoy a selection of delicious light bites and homemade treats as we continue work on our new outdoor café.
The venue, which sits on the banks of the River Dane, is expected to launch in early 2017.
Staff at The Mill are overseeing the project, an exciting addition to the facilities already on offer at the Gradbach development.
The Mill’s Head Chef Clare Kinder is busy preparing the menu for the café, which will use only the highest quality ingredients and will be locally sourced where possible.
Food will be freshly prepared in daily and served in the café, situated on a popular walking route with access to nearby Lud’s Church and The Roaches.
General Manager Sally Burton says: “We’re going to be offering a range of light snacks, homemade soup and freshly baked jacket potatoes.
“There will also be sandwiches with hot and cold fillings, tea and freshly ground coffee, ice cream and a choice of homemade cakes and scones.
“We’ll be changing the menu according to the seasons, so people can look forward to winter, spring and Easter specials as the weather changes.
“Because it is in such a beautiful location, our vision is for it to become a real destination and we can’t wait to welcome our first visitors.”
